Not only does the scrub exfoliate your lips to remove dead, dry skin, she says, but it also stimulates blood circulation. This brings blood to the surface of your lips and makes them plump naturally.

   • Exfoliate your lips once a week to help get rid of dead skin, says professional makeup artist Erica Coates.
   • How to make a lip scrub: Combine 2 parts sugar, 1 part salt, a little bit of olive oil to bind the ingredients, and 1-2 drops of lemon juice.
   • To apply: Gently rub the lip scrub into your lips with your finger for about 30 seconds, then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

   • Lip coverage: How much of your upper lip do you want your mustache to hang over? For example, a pencil mustache will reveal your whole mouth, whereas a walrus mustache conceals your upper lip completely.
   • Time to grow: How long do you want to wait for your mustache to grow out? For example, a long, thick mustache like the horseshoe will take longer to grow than a handlebar.
   • Grooming and trimming: The longer and more styled your mustache, the more time it will take to maintain. Keep that in mind when choosing between styles like the Hungarian, which has pointed, turned-up ends, and the chevron, which requires only basic trimming.
     • The neater and more well-groomed your mustache and beard are, the bigger your lips will look. So keep your facial hair well-maintained!

   Highlight or contour your lips with makeup. Not all guys are open to wearing makeup, but for those who are, remember that a little goes a long way. According to makeup artist Yuka Arora, you can enhance your small lips by highlighting your cupid's bow. Use concealer if you only want to brighten your skin, and use highlighter makeup if you want a little shimmer. "Another trick to make your lips look fuller," she says, is to "contour your lips. You take the contour shade and lightly create a shadow right under your bottom lip in the center… if the shadow is bigger, your lips look bigger."

   • If highlighting your cupid's bow: Choose a concealer that's 2-3 shades lighter than your skin color.
   • If contouring your bottom lip: Choose a contour product that's 4-5 shades darker than your skin color.
   • To apply: Use a small angled makeup brush for more precision, and don't forget to blend the edges of the product into your skin!

   Get lip fillers to make your lips bigger temporarily. If you want a solution for enlarging your lips that lasts longer than natural lip plumpers or makeup, dermal fillers may be right for you. A licensed dermatologist or plastic surgeon can inject a small amount of a natural substance called hyaluronic acid (HA) into your lips to make them look bigger. The effects typically last for 12-18 months, at which point the HA will begin to dissolve and you may need to get more injections.
